Pontiac - GTO - 1968

Echter 1968 Pontiac GTO 400 cui (*242*VIN) The vehicle has an American registration, import duties are paid. The GTO was restored in Austria. Vehicle originally comes from New York/USA. The body was completely lifted off the frame, sandblasted and painted. All chassis parts were renewed or repaired. Eibach suspension springs and AcDelco shock absorbers were used. All chassis rubbers were replaced by PU bushings. The front and rear axles were converted to GM Performance disc brakes and a Yukon Gear limited slip differential was installed. The engine was completely overhauled by the company Langbauer (engine has run 78km at the moment). The gearbox was also overhauled. An aluminium cooler as well as a new air conditioning condenser and air conditioning compressor were installed. In the inside, the seats were reupholstered, the dashboard renewed and a new carpet installed. The body was completely derusted and welded in. The side walls and floor were re-welded, new wings and a new bonnet were installed and the whole vehicle was painted in the original Verdoro green colour. The lighting system has already been converted to the Europe version. Al original parts are available. Original optional equipment list: AM/FM radio Black vinyl top Hidden Headlights Hydramatic gearbox Hurst shifter Power Steering Power Brakes Air conditioning All in all a very nice restoration and a very nice vehicle.
