Fiat - 850 Sport Spider - 1968

The Fiat 850 Spider was designed by Nuccio Bertone with the collaboration of Giorgio Giugiaro, who was head of the Centro Stile Bertone since 195. Produced at the Grugliasco plant and presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1965. The pleasant and sleek line was undoubtedly eye-catching and above all very modern for the time. The engine is the legendary and tested 4-cylinder 903 cc that we saw until the 1990s on the A112 Junior and P 45 in several versions. This Fiat 850 Spider received a preservative restoration about 8 years ago, that affected the entire bodywork. The paint is still shiny in its Fiat 134 red colour, only a small spot of the bonnet needs some attention. Still original preserved chrome as well as bumpers and mouldings, the rare original tank cap is present. The rear bumper had a repair. Mechanically speaking, the engine is very responsive and this is the strength of this car, that was completely redone in 2018 (please see attached invoice). Now the car has about 1200 km and runs perfectly, the double-barrel silencer also delivers a great sound. The electrical system such as external, internal lights and dynamo work well. Braking system is ok, with aluminium front calipers, which was a feature of the Spider. Interior is in good condition, seats are still soft. The dashboard has no cracks or broken parts. Soft top is new, replaced in 2019. Cromodora alloy rims as extra, with spare wheel (5 pieces). Original Italian documents available, always kept in Italy. The car is complete with a restoration from a few years ago that needs to be checked in places. Transport can be arranged throughout Europe. This vehicle can be viewed in Badia Polesine, Italy. Please contact Catawiki for an appointment.
